PAWs For People Visit
This week, our kindergarten class had a heartwarming and educational visit from the pet therapy group PAWS for People! The children were thrilled to welcome our furry visitor along with their kind and knowledgeable handler.
The goal of the visit was to help our young learners understand the role of therapy animals and how they can bring comfort, joy, and calm to people in schools, hospitals, libraries, and other community settings. The PAWS for People team did a wonderful job teaching the students about how to safely approach and interact with dogs, the difference between therapy animals and pets, and the ways animals can help people feel better.
Of course, the highlight of the day was spending time with our new friend Rose! The children loved petting her, asking questions, and spending time with their new four-legged friend. The visit was filled with smiles, laughter, and gentle tail wags.
We’re so grateful to PAWS for People for sharing their time with us. Experiences like these not only brighten our day but also teach empathy, kindness, and the importance of community service.
We hope to welcome them back again soon!
