Fall Fun at Linvilla Orchards
*A Fun Fall Field Trip to Linvilla Orchards*
This fall, our class went on an exciting field trip to a local orchard to learn about pumpkins and the magic of the season! As soon as we arrived, we could see rows and rows of pumpkins in a variety of size, shape, and color.
We spent time investigating in the pumpkin patch, where we looked closely at the green vines and the tiny flowers that turn into pumpkins. It was like being pumpkin detectives! Some of us even found carved pumpkins, showing images of cats and haunted houses.
After exploring the patch, we visited the farm animals. There were chickens, horses, and even a friendly goat who loved nibbling on hay. We learned about each of the animals and how they live in the wild or on the farm.
The highlight of the day was picking our very own pumpkins to take back to MSA for our science and art class projects the following week. We were able to pick out some perfect pumpkins that put a smile on everyone's face! It was a day full of fresh air, fun, and fall discoveries. Now, we can’t wait to decorate our pumpkins and share what we learned with our families. Field trips like this make learning about nature and the seasons so much fun!
